Ladies Home Journal is sponsoring a personal essay contest.
The winner gets $3,000 (nice!) and the chance to have her essay published in
the magazine. The topic: a memorable moment in your life – the day, the hour or
the second that changed everything. “Be poignant, reflective, funny,” the
instructions say. Word limit is 2,000 and the deadline is Dec. 7, 2012. For submission
